Who I Work With

I see adults for individual talk therapy sessions. Please note that I do not work with children, families, or couples.

I often work with young adults, students in university, HSPs, introverts, people in relationships, people looking for relationships, and helping professionals (such as teachers, nurses, doctors, new counsellors, occupational therapists).

My Approach

My hope is that therapy will help you make meaning out of your experiences, move you towards more harmonious relationships with yourself and others, align you with your values, allow you to heal younger versions of yourself, help you lean into the peaks of life and tolerate the pitfalls more comfortably, and feel more at home in your body and mind.

Therapy is a space to explore what is stuck, to no longer be alone with it, and have someone help guide you out of it.

About Me

I’m Nikki Hollinson, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in Vancouver, BC.

I chose a career in counselling because from an early age I have loved listening to people’s life stories, providing a supportive ear, brainstorming ways to heal, and reading about psychology and relationships. I genuinely enjoy sitting in the chair across from people and holding space.

Focus Areas

Students & Young Adults (19-30)

I am passionate about working with young adults who are navigating life changes as they move from youth to adulthood, feeling lost with discovering who they are, struggling with academic stress, and/or are going through dating and relationship struggles.

  • Life Transitions & Changes
  • Relationships and Dating
  • Self Esteem
  • Academic Stress

Helping Professions

I enjoy working with nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, RMTs, teachers, social workers, and new counsellors by providing a place you can go to be taken care of and supported in your role, or a place to talk about things outside of work while understanding the particular impact of the job on your day to day life.

  • Vicarious Trauma
  • Caretaker Identity
  • Unresolved Past Wounds
  • Feeling like an Imposter

Highly Sensitive People (HSP)

I love being a support for HSPs. Having this understanding of self greatly impacts how we frame what you are going through and the direction of our work. It helps that I am a fellow HSP and understand what it’s like, while still being curious about your unique experiences.

  • Overstimulation
  • Ruminating
  • Feeling Different from Others
  • Deeply Feeling Your Emotions
    & the Emotions of Others

I also work with adults of any age who are looking for help with patterns they want to understand better, a desire to better understand and feel their emotions, are having difficulty with their friendships and romantic partnerships, and/or coping as best as they can after traumatic experiences and wanting additional support from a professional.
